Pinhook Distillery

Pinhook was founded in 2011 and was inspired by the horse racing term "pinhooking," which involves buying young thoroughbreds and reselling them as trained racehorses. Pinhook whiskey is unique due to its vintage-based approach (much like wine), where each annual release is a new, unique blend crafted to be the best expression of that year's barrels, rather than a consistent flavor profile.
